International Study Group on the relations between History and Pedagogy of Mathematics

ESU

The European Summer University on the History and Epistemology in Mathematics Education (ESU) is originally the initiative of to the French Mathematics Education community of the IREMs, in the early 1980’s. From those meetings emerged the organization of a SU on a European scale, in close cooperation with the HPM group.

The upcoming Tenth ESU will be held in 2026 in Aveiro, Portugal. More information will be provided when available.
